Our SoftGrid teams in Landau and Shanghai currently comprises around 20 people from the fields of architecture, urban planning, energy consulting, software development and business administration.

Our management team combines many years of international experience in all core aspects of SoftGrid Europe.

Antonio Wehnl

​

​

Antonio Wehnl studied mechanical engineering and architecture at the TU Darmstadt.

 

He has over 20 years of experience as a responsible planner in Europe and China and led BASF's planning subsidiary Luwoge Consult GmbH for over 10 years.

​

Mr. Wehnl's expertise includes project management according to AHO and planning across all HOAI service phases.

​

Over the years, he has broadened his perspective to include the entire construction value chain and, since 2018, has headed AW Construction, whose positioning as a total contractor dates back to previously successful projects such as the BASF Family and Activity Center in Ludwigshafen.

​

Mr. Wehnl has supervised the planning and realization of numerous DGNB and Passive House buildings and was appointed to the jury of the competition "Neues BASF Hochhaus" Ludwigshafen.

Rolf Demmler

​

​

Rolf Demmler is an architect and urban planner and graduated from the TU Darmstadt and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow.

 

He first worked in Germany and Switzerland before founding SoftGrid Shanghai Ltd. in China in 2008.

​

Since then, he has combined the topics of architecture, urban planning and sustainability in a holistic "General Planning PLUS" approach that understands integral planning as a synergy matrix.

 

On this basis, he has realized numerous buildings in China, including for global clients such as Ardex, BASF, Disney and VW. Furthermore, he is active in urban development and regeneration projects throughout China.

Mr. Demmler is a qualified DGNB Auditor and PHI Passive House Planner, regularly gives presentations at professional conferences and was a guest lecturer at Tongji University Shanghai between 2013 and 2018.

Peter Ruwe

​

​

Peter Ruwe has been involved in the design and implementation of business management concepts since 1994.


From 1999 to 2005 he worked as a manager in controlling, in his last position at a regional energy supplier in the Palatinate.


Mr Ruwe is also an energy consultant and has successfully built up and managed various companies and projects as a managing partner in the energy industry over the last 15 years. These include a full-service billing company incl. call center and market communication, block chain and loT applications (smart meters, e-mobility), energy trading, and a special software solution for energy sales.

 

He holds joint patents in the field of battery development and electric drive technology.
